About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in SAP ECC and financial accounting processes. The role involves production support, requirement analysis, solution feasibility, configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation activities. The candidate should have strong domain knowledge and an understanding of business accounting processes.

Job Description

The consultant will handle day-to-day SAP FICO production support issues and work closely with users to understand business requirements. The role includes evaluating solution feasibility, preparing functional logic for user confirmation, and developing functional specifications and test cases.

The candidate will be responsible for testing configurations and enhancements before delivering solutions to users and maintaining proper documentation. Experience with implementation, rollouts, and upgrades is required, along with the ability to work across SAP integration areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day SAP FICO production support issues and defects.
• Understand business requirements and prepare solution logic for user confirmation.
• Evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions and demonstrate solutions where required.
• Prepare functional specifications and test cases.
• Perform thorough testing of configurations and enhancements before user delivery.
• Maintain accurate functional and technical documentation.
• Support implementation, rollout, and upgrade activities.
• Work with users and other SAP teams to understand business and accounting requirements.

Required Skills

• SAP FICO with experience in SAP ECC.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting (BA).
• Knowledge of GST/Taxation configuration.
• Experience with Profit Center Accounting (PCA) and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
• Knowledge of Product Costing and related FI integration.
• Understanding of integration with MM, SD, PP, PM, and PS modules.
• Experience with Enhancements, Custom Reports, and Smart Forms.
• Good understanding of client business processes and accounting practices.
• Experience in implementation, rollout, and upgrade projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory Skills

• FICO (GL, AR, AP, AA, BA, CEA, CCA, PCA, IO, TR)

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of SAP FICO experience, strong financial accounting domain knowledge, and hands‑on experience with SAP ECC. The candidate should be comfortable working with business users, analyzing requirements, testing solutions, and supporting implementation and production environments.
