Job summary

Vigilant Technologies in Hyderabad, India, seeks a Database Administrator with strong Oracle EBS R12.1.x/12.2.x experience to install, configure and manage multi-tier environments. You will handle patching, cloning, ADOP-based patching, and performance tuning as part of a 24x7 on-call team.

The role requires hands-on administration of ASM, multitenant containers, DR drills, and collaboration with Oracle Support to resolve complex issues. Strong scripting and middleware knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Install, upgrade and administer Oracle EBS R12.1x/12.2x environments.
• Patch, clone EBS and database environments.
• ADOP and online patching; diagnose patching issues.
• Manage multitier EBS 12.1.x/12.2.x environments.
• Debug and tune EBS/Database performance.
• Load balance app tier; configure parallel processing.
• Administer multitenant architecture: CDB/PDB cloning.
• Install, configure and manage Oracle ASM.
• Set up DR environments and run DR drills.
• Liaise with Oracle Support; 24x7 support as part of a team.

Job description

We are seeking for a Database Administrator who is skilled and experienced in the installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle E-business Suite R12.1.3/R12.2.x environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, upgrading and administration of Oracle EBS R12.1/R12.2 env’s.
• Patching and Cloning of EBS/Database env’s.
• ADOP and online patching, analyzing/resolving patching issues.
• Managing and Supporting Oracle EBS 12.1.x/12.2.x multitier env’s.
• Debugging EBS/Database Performance issues and tuning skills.
• Load balancing of application tier and setting up parallel concurrent processing.
• Multitenant architecture. Container and Pluggable database administration and cloning.
• Installation, Setup & Managing Oracle ASM.
• Setting up DR environment and supporting periodic DR drills.
• Working with Oracle Support.
• Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support

GOOD TO HAVE

• Shell, SQL, pl/sql scripting skills will be an added advantage.
• Middleware WebLogic, Apex, SOA, OBIEE/OBIA will be an added advantage.
• Installation, configuration and supporting OID/OAM will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Exadata and ODA will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Oracle Cloud (like OCI, DBAAS) would be an added advantage.
• Experience working in supporting multiclient environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
