Common Ground Placement Solutions Chennai is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Database Administrator to manage enterprise Oracle databases supporting critical business applications in Chennai, India.

You will administer Oracle 19c databases, manage EBS database environments, monitor performance, and ensure SLAs while supporting patching, RAC, and OEM workflows. On-call support is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
• Expertise with Oracle 19c and EBS integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support for EBS, RAC and OEM.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS Database Administrator to join our team and manage enterprise-level Oracle databases supporting critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases in a production environment.
• Manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) database environments.
• Monitor database performance, availability and system health to meet defined SLAs.
• Perform database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Generate and analyze AWR, ASH and ADDM reports for performance troubleshooting.
• Monitor tablespace utilization, storage and data growth.
• Analyze and automate monitoring of database alert logs.
• Support Oracle RAC and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) environments.
• Support DevOps-based environments and enable database automation/self-service capabilities.
• Ensure database security, compliance and adherence to best practices.
• Support software/application deployments and monitor performance after changes.
• Perform Oracle EBS patching and application bouncing/restarts.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support for critical production issues and outages.

Must-Have Skills:-

• 5+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c
• Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Mandatory
• Experience with Oracle RAC
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with AWR / ASH / ADDM
• Knowledge of TEMP and UNDO tablespaces
• Good understanding of the Oracle EBS data model
• Experience with EBS patching
• Experience with bouncing/restarting Oracle Applications
• Knowledge of data growth and data retention within EBS
• Good production support and troubleshooting skills

Good to Have:-

• Experience with Oracle ASM
• Knowledge of database table partitioning
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and data connectors
• Experience in e-commerce operations
• Familiarity with DevOps/automation environments

Education

Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience
