Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a skilled Java-focused developer to design, build, test, and maintain enterprise applications using modern Java technologies. You will craft RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, ensuring scalable, secure solutions.

You will participate in design discussions, optimize SQL queries across Oracle and PostgreSQL, and contribute to DevOps practices with Docker/Kubernetes in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java 8/11/17+ and Spring frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and database tuning.

Responsibilities

Application Development Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies.Develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.Implement robust, scalable, and high-availability solutions.Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.

Solution Design

Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.Translate business requirements into technical solutions.Perform application design, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Database Development

Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL databases.Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Integration

Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST, SOAP, JMS, or MQ. Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

DevOps & Deployment

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Work with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms.Support application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
