Job summary

IFS SOLUTIONS ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to lead Microsoft 365 architecture, security, and compliance across global teams. The role emphasizes planning, implementation, and governance of modern workplace solutions while driving innovation and protecting data.

You will work in a flexible hybrid environment, collaborating with legal and IT security to meet regulatory requirements, and mentoring junior staff while delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology.
• 7+ years hands-on experience in related fields (cloud, IT).
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft 365 collaboration suite.
• ITIL or similar IT service management framework familiarity preferred.
• Microsoft certifications related to above areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational and strategic planning for Microsoft 365 implementations.
• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Viva, Copilot, Power Platform and Security & Compliance features.
• Implement data loss prevention, information protection, and conditional access policies.
• Collaborate with legal, IT security, and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee Purview configuration and maintenance for data governance.
• Lead onboarding and secure integration of third-party AI tools with Microsoft 365 services.
• Monitor service health, usage, and performance across the M365 ecosystem.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate compliance solutions with existing systems.
• Benchmark and report on improvements to the Office 365 suite and related systems.
• Mentor junior team members and stay updated on tech trends.

Job Description

• Lead operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Purview, Viva, Copilot, Power Platform and Security & Compliance features.
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP), information protection, and conditional access policies to ensure secure access to Microsoft modern workplace solution within the organization.
• Collaborate with legal, IT security, and other relevant parties to understand and develop data retention and information protection policies to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and manage Microsoft 365 compliance solutions, including data retention policies, labeling, and data loss prevention (DLP) for all M365 collaboration services including SharePoint, Exchange, and Teams.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Purview to ensure data governance and compliance.
• Lead the technical assessment, onboarding, and secure integration of third-party AI tools with Microsoft 365 services
• Monitor service health, usage, and performance across the M365 ecosystem
• Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate compliance solutions with existing systems and workflows.
• Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement Office 365 suite and other systems.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor junior team members

Qualifications

• The ideal applicant should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology and more than 7 years of hands-on experience in related fields
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft 365 collaboration suite
• Strong troubleshooting and service optimization skills, with a keen interest in cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Proficient in PowerShell and able to integrate with Azure AD, handle bulk updates across Office 365 services, manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams configurations, and automate administrative tasks
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience administering Purview, Viva, Copilot, and the Power Platform
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks preferred
• Microsoft certifications related to above areas
• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
