Job summary

Asian Hires is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to manage and modernize a production Azure environment and Windows Server infrastructure. You will lead cloud operations, hybrid networking, IaC, disaster recovery, and collaborate with security and development teams.

The role requires strong Azure experience, Active Directory/Entra ID proficiency, and the ability to work across security and dev teams. Initial week on-site in Vadodara with hybrid/remote options.

• Working hours: 3:00 PM–12:00 midnight; night shifts may be introduced in the future.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server provisioning, patching, AD, and lifecycle migrations.
• Administer Microsoft 365 licensing and Azure subscriptions across multi-tenant environments.
• Improve IaC practices with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Extend CI/CD to infrastructure deployment with development teams.
• Collaborate with security for hardening, vulnerabilities, and compliance.
• Monitor with Datadog and Azure Monitor.
• Maintain DR runbooks, RPO/RTO, and failover exercises.
• Keep architecture diagrams and runbooks up to date.
• Support incident response and post-incident reviews.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to manage and modernize a production Azure environment and Windows Server infrastructure. The role involves cloud operations, hybrid networking, infrastructure automation, disaster recovery, and close collaboration with security and development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Windows Server provisioning, patching, Group Policy, Active Directory, and lifecycle migrations.
• Administer Microsoft 365 licensing and Azure subscriptions across a multi-tenant environment.
• Improve infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or Azure-native alternatives.
• Extend CI/CD practices to infrastructure deployment in collaboration with development teams.
• Partner with security teams on hardening, vulnerability remediation, identity controls, SentinelOne endpoint protection, and compliance evidence.
• Manage monitoring and observability using Datadog and Azure Monitor.
• Maintain disaster recovery runbooks, RPO/RTO targets, and periodic failover exercises.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and change records.
• Support infrastructure escalations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Cloud engineering experience with significant Azure expertise.
• Hybrid identity experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID.
• Cloud and hybrid networking, including firewall change management, network segmentation, cross-tenant routing, IPsec/SSL VPN, NSGs, and subnet design.
• Disaster recovery operations, RPO/RTO targets, runbooks, and failover testing.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience; Terraform preferred, with Bicep or ARM templates also relevant.
• Ability to modernize engineering practices in collaboration with security teams.
• Comfort working with shared technical ownership and security review/sign-off.
• Ability to cross-train across infrastructure and security disciplines.
• Strong collaboration with security and development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 Copilot or enterprise AI rollout exposure.
• NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, or privacy compliance exposure.
• Microsoft CSP/Solutions Partner program exposure.
• Google Workspace, Google Cloud Storage, or Wasabi familiarity.
• Cloudflare and next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet.
• Enterprise backup/DR tools such as Veeam, Axcient, or Azure Backup.
• Cloud-native/serverless migration, IIS, SQL Server DBA, AWS, or Kubernetes exposure.
