Job summary

Mavenir in Bengaluru is seeking a Packet Core – Cloud Engineer to design, develop, deploy and validate AI-orchestrated Packet Core applications across public, hybrid, and private clouds.

This role emphasizes Kubernetes/Docker, microservices, RESTful APIs, CI/CD, NoSQL, Linux, and scalable, cloud-native architectures, requiring 3+ years in cloud environments and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field; coursework in algorithms and data structures.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• 3+ years in micro-services architecture for mission-critical apps.
• Experience with AI-enabled development and Kubernetes/Docker.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, CNIs like Calico, SRIOV, Cilium, OVN.
• Familiarity with monitoring on AWS/Google, auto-scaling, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Experience with Istio or other service meshes, Linux admin, NoSQL, reactive systems, and SCM tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Packet Core applications in cloud environments.
• Leverage AI to enhance Packet Core with human oversight.
• Help set technical direction and resolve design issues.

Role Summary

The Packet Core – Cloud Engineer is responsible for the designing, developing, deploying and validating AI orchestrated Mavenir Packet Core Applications in Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud Environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, Test and Deploy Packet Core Applications in Public, Hybrid and Private Cloud
• Leverage AI to develop Packet Core Applications with strict human oversight.
• Play a key role in setting the technical direction for the project
• Technically resolving design and implementation issues, sharing knowledge and driving the project to success.
• Communicate with other groups in the company, such as operations, system-test, PLM and management.
• Support the deployment of Cloud Native Packet Core Applications in production network
• Automate the deployment with CI/CD principles

Job Requirements

• B.S or M.S (Computer Science or a related technical field preferred), should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas
• 3+ years minimum experience in public cloud like AWS and/or Google
• 3+ years of experience working with mission-critical applications based on micro-services architecture
• Experienced in developing applications using AI technologies
• Strong experience and understanding of Kubernetes and Docker technologies
• Strong experience and understanding building Web-Scale applications
• Strong understanding of REST architectural and RESTful APIs Web Services
• Experience with CNIs like Calico, Multus, SRIOV, Cilium, OVN
• Experience with Monitoring solutions of AWS and Google
• Experience with Auto Scaling applications in Cloud
• Experience with Hybrid Application Deployment in AWS Outpost or Google Distributed Cloud Edge(GDCE)
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies like Istio Service Mesh
• Experience in Linux systems administration in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
• Practical experience with NoSQL database technologies
• Experience building Reactive Systems
• Working knowledge of SCM tools (e.g. Git, Atlassian) for software development
