Job summary

eWay Corp, Pune, India, is seeking a Senior AWS Engineer to lead secure, cost-efficient AWS environments and drive cloud transformation initiatives. You will design, implement, and optimize infrastructure with a focus on performance and reliability.

The role requires hands-on experience across VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, and automation via CloudFormation or Terraform. Expect collaboration with multiple teams and a strong emphasis on security and high availability.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least one active AWS Certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting, engineering, and optimizing production workloads on AWS.
• Deep expertise in AWS core services including VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Terraform, ELB, ALB, Auto Scaling, EBS, EFS, and WAF.
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking including subnets, route tables, Transit Gateway, NAT, Route 53, security groups, and NACLs.
• Advanced Linux systems administration skills, including performance tuning, kernel optimization, and deep OS-level troubleshooting.
• Experience with web servers such as Apache and Nginx.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, or similar relational databases in production environments.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for operational automation.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple infrastructure tasks and incidents in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Author detailed technical design documents, architectural diagrams, and infrastructure roadmaps for complex cloud projects.
• Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end cloud infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
• Design and enforce AWS security architectures using IAM, WAF, network segmentation, and security best practices.
• Analyze cloud environments to identify performance bottlenecks and cost optimization opportunities.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Design and manage advanced AWS networking including VPCs, routing, DNS, and network security boundaries.
• Design and validate backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
• Collaborate with development, application, operations, and leadership teams to align infrastructure with business and technical requirements.
