Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a GCP Senior SME to architect, implement, and govern enterprise cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will design scalable architectures, lead migrations, and champion DevOps and FinOps practices in a global delivery context.

You will partner with stakeholders, deliver design reviews, run solution discussions, and guide pre‑sales activities while ensuring security, cost efficiency, and high availability across hybrid/multi‑cloud environments.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in GCP core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, GKE, BigQuery).
  • Experience in cloud architecture, migrations, and cloud-native development.
  • Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and governance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to lead large-scale transformation programs.
  • Experience working in global delivery or consulting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and high‑performance cloud architectures using GCP services.
  • Define enterprise cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into cloud-native solutions.
  • Architect hybrid/multi-cloud solutions (VPN, Interconnect, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Lead deployment of GCP services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform / Deployment Manager).
  • Drive cloud migration programs with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure high availability, DR strategy, and scalability of workloads.
  • Act as L3 escalation point for complex incidents and troubleshooting.
  • Perform root cause analysis and preventive solutions.
  • Establish SLAs, SLOs, monitoring, and runbooks.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Design and enforce IAM, network security, and encryption strategies.
  • Implement zero‑trust architecture, segmentation, and governance policies.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, etc.).
  • Act as trusted advisor to clients, architects, and leadership.
  • Lead design reviews, workshops, and solution discussions.
  • Support pre‑sales, estimations, and proposal development.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and solutioning.
  • Evaluate new GCP services and recommend adoption.
  • Drive automation, DevOps, and FinOps initiatives.
  • Define reusable assets/frameworks and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and cloud advancements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and architects.
  • Build capability within the team through training and knowledge sharing.
  • Define SOPs, playbooks, and documentation standards.
  • Support capability development and certifications within the team.

The Role

The GCP Senior SME is a senior‑level technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and governing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role acts as a trusted advisor to architects, delivery teams, and business stakeholders, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud adoption aligned with enterprise strategy.

Architecture & Solution Design
  • Design scalable, secure, and high‑performance cloud architectures using GCP services
  • Define enterprise cloud standards, reference architectures, and best practices
