Job summary

Devopsroles is seeking a Senior CloudEngineer/Architect to design, implement and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions. The role emphasizes formal handovers and adoption of modern cloud technologies to ensure operational excellence.

The candidate will lead multi-account security, HA networking across AWS and hybrid environments, and IaC with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. Collaboration with product, platform, and security teams is essential.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate willdemonstraterecent, hands-on experience with leading public cloud platforms, mainlyAmazon Web Services, with a strong command of container orchestration technologieslikeAmazon EKS,GoogleKubernetes Engine,Tanzu KubernetesandRed Hat OpenShift.Proficiencywith infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins CI), and related DevOps tools (Artifactory,HashiCorpVault, Git) is essential. Familiarity with monitoring solutions(Prometheus), database platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra), and collaboration tools (Atlassian stack) is highly valued. While not required, exposure to private cloud and on-premises technologies-such as VMware, virtualization, server, storage and networking infrastructure, Linux-based virtual servers, VMwareESXihosts, disaster recovery using infrastructure as code, and hybrid environments including vSphere, OpenShift, and DataStax Cassandra migration-will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and enforce multi-account security boundaries using AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and complex IAM permission boundaries.

• Architect high-availability hybrid network topologies integrating AWS Direct Connect and Site-to-Site VPNs, with advanced Transit Gateway routing and VPC traffic engineering.

• Develop andmaintainsophisticated Infrastructure as Code libraries using Terraform, including reusable, versioned custommodulesand complex state file management.

• Develop operational runbooks and monitoring frameworks for seamless handover.

• Define and agree on SLOs and SLAs with stakeholders.

• Identifyand document risks and technical debt.

• Ensure clear ownership transfer to operationsteamspost-handover.

• Collaborate with product, platform, and security teams to align with mature DevOps and SRE models.

Advanced Skills & Differentiators

• Develop infrastructure automation and glue code using Python or Bash.

• Manage production-grade Amazon EKS environments, including worker node configuration, control plane upgrades, and VPC networking integration.

• Demonstrate operational experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for multi-cloud redundancyand networkingbut also workload migrations.

• Maintain hybrid infrastructure environments, combining VMware vSphere operational knowledge with Red Hat OpenShift on Bare Metal.

• Experience with Helm for Kubernetes deployments is a plus.
