Job summary

ANZ Bengaluru seeks a Senior Cloud Platforms Engineer to help build, operate, and optimise cloud platforms across public clouds. You will leverage Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC to automate infrastructure, drive CI/CD, and maintain scalable, secure workloads.

The role emphasizes collaboration, growth mindset, and continuous improvement. As part of a large engineering community, you will contribute to modern platform services, OpenShift upgrades, and monitoring while mentoring peers and delivering

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience as a cloud engineer.
• Specialist in RedHat OpenShift with a passion for containerisation.
• Experience with OpenShift upgrades and maintaining platform components.
• Proficient in scripting (bash, JavaScript, Golang) to automate tasks.
• Experience implementing IaC and CI/CD across multi-cloud environments.

About the Role

As a Engineer within the Cloud Platforms technology area, you will help build, enhance, and operate cloud platforms that form part of the Infrastructure and Cloud Services domain. Leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies, you will drive automation through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, while contributing to the design, build, and operation of large-scale containerized workloads across public cloud environments. Drawing on your experience with multiple cloud and Kubernetes platforms, service meshes, networking, software engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), you will deliver scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse, globally scaled projects, transforming innovative ideas into impactful solutions. What will your day look like?

• Work in a collaborative team to explore business initiatives and solutions
• Build infrastructure using code and follow software engineering best practices
• Utilise knowledge of containers and distributed system design including cloud scalability, communication integration, database, and storage
• Challenge the status quo, whilst always looking for opportunities for continuous improvement

What will you bring?

• Must have 8+years of relevant experience as cloud engineer
• You will be a specialist in RedHat OpenShift and have a passion for containerisation.
• Experience working with performing platform maintenance activities like OpenShift upgrades, maintaining platform and monitoring components are up to date
• Comfortable coding in one or more languages (bash, JavaScript, Golang, etc), and you use these skills to automate as much as possible
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation, along with continuous integration/delivery tooling such as Bitbucket/GitHub, Google Cloud Build/CodeFresh/Jenkins, etc. You automate all the things and apply best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• You (or aspire to) design, build and operate large scale container workloads across public clouds.
• A growth mindset and desire to continually learn and share new techniques and ideas
• Experienced in leadership mentoring and working collaboratively with fellow engineers.
