Job summary

ib vogt GmbH is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/Assistant Manager for PAN India onsite civil quality work. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality civil works for renewable energy projects, with strong emphasis on QC/QA documentation and adherence to IS standards.

The candidate will prepare FQPs, coordinate with contractors, and lead site training and reporting to ensure continuous improvement and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute.
• 5-7 years of site civil quality experience and QC/QA documentation.
• Knowledge of Renewable Industry norms including IS/IEC.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, complete and maintain civil quality documentation for projects.
• Understand raw materials testing (cement, sand, aggregates).
• Comply with IS10262 and IS456 requirements in QC activities.
• Prepare FQP for civil works and coordinate with contractors on agreements.
• Review MTC of raw materials per design and standards.
• Conduct cube testing per IS 456 and address failures with RCA.
• Provide site quality training to internal teams and contractors.
• Perform site quality verifications and maintain logs/minutes.
• Daily site quality witness per approved QAP; record deviations/NCs.
• Communicate weekly observations/NCs to internal and external parties.
• Follow up on site non-conformities and close-out actions.
• Prepare weekly/monthly non-conformity status reports.

Purpose/ Profile Summary

Candidate shall have complete understanding of quality requirement related to civil works at site. Candidate should able prepare Civil FQP & all relevant checklist for site implementation. The personnel shall be responsible for quality of civil work of utility scale renewable (solar & wind) energy.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create, process, complete and maintain accurate civil quality documentation and records associated with the Projects.
• Should have complete understanding of raw materials testing like cement, sand aggregate etc.
• Understanding of IS10262 requirements.
• Understanding of IS456 requirements.
• Should be able to prepare the FQP for civil works.
• Co-ordinate with contractor for FQP agreements, design mix finalization.
• Review of MTC of all raw materials as per design / std requirement.
• Cube testing as per IS 456.
• Co-ordination with contractor in case of cube failure for further RCA.
• Conduct the site quality training for internal team and to the contractor.
• Ensure and perform site quality verification inspections and maintain job specific meetings minutes & necessary logs.
• Dail site quality works witness as per approved QAP.
• Identification & records of deviations/ observation/ NCs
• Communication to internal and external (contractors) related to weekly observation/ NCs.
• Follow-up to interested parties for site non-conformity closer.
• Weekly & monthly reporting on non-conformity status.
• Contractor wise record maintenance for contractor performance evaluation.
• Resolution of construction quality from site and visit the as on when required.
• Identify preventive actions for continual improvement.

Qualification and Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Engineering (Civil) from Institute of repute.
• 5-7 years of experience in site civil quality and implementation of relevant QC/QA documentation.
• Expertise and knowledge of Renewable Industry norms and standards including IS/IEC.
• Better written communication.
