Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in CAD design and mechanical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar.
• Strong 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to document designs and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using industry CAD software, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and design specifications
• Analyze design requirements and develop efficient solutions that optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerance and GD&T standards
• Collaborate with product engineers, manufacturing teams, and stakeholders to refine designs and resolve technical challenges
• Maintain organized design documentation, version control, and project files in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Perform design modifications and iterations based on testing results, feedback, and engineering analysis
• Support the development of design guidelines and best practices to enhance team efficiency and consistency
• Mentor junior CAD engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and workflows

We're looking for a Senior CAD Engineer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, modeling, and optimizing mechanical components and assemblies using advanced CAD tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex engineering requirements into precise technical drawings and 3D models. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet specifications, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.

• Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using industry‑standard CAD software, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and design specifications
• Analyze design requirements and develop efficient solutions that optimize performance, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical feedback to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerance and GD&T standards
• Collaborate with product engineers, manufacturing teams, and stakeholders to refine designs and resolve technical challenges

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

• 5+ years of professional experience in CAD design and mechanical engineering
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent platforms
• Strong expertise in 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and technical drawing creation
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerance, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex design problems and develop efficient solutions
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain detailed documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

• Experience with product design and development lifecycle
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles
• Knowledge of simulation and analysis tools (FEA, CFD)
• Experience with PDM (Product Data Management) systems
• Background in automotive, aerospace, or industrial equipment design
• Proficiency in additional CAD platforms or design software
