Job summary

Franklin Templeton in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced System Analyst/Business Analyst to bridge business needs with engineering teams. You will gather requirements, document BRDs, and translate them into user stories while managing Jira backlogs and agile ceremonies.

You will partner with data platform, API, and cloud-native initiatives, drive solution feasibility reviews, and present delivery plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
• CSPO, CSM, or CBAP certification is preferred.
• Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Experience developing BRDs, functional specifications, and solution documentation.
• Experience managing Jira backlogs and supporting Agile delivery teams.
• Experience working with data platforms, APIs, integrations, or cloud-native solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience supporting enterprise software delivery initiatives.

About The Department

The Enterprise Data, Governance & Integration Platforms Engineering team delivers the foundational platforms that power enterprise data, analytics, governance, integration, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities across the organization. The team builds cloud-native services, APIs, and reusable platform solutions that enable scalable, secure, and reliable business outcomes. Working closely with engineering, governance, analytics, security, and business teams, team members help shape enterprise platform strategy while gaining exposure to modern cloud technologies, data ecosystems, and AI-enabled ways of working.

Core Responsibilities

• You will gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• You will create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and solution artifacts.
• You will translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery requirements.
• You will manage Jira backlogs, priorities, dependencies, and delivery readiness.
• You will facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies.
• You will track delivery progress, risks, blockers, and mitigation actions.
• You will ensure alignment between business objectives and engineering outcomes.

Team & Collaboration

• You will serve as a key link between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
• You will facilitate discussions across platform, architecture, governance, and business groups.
• You will conduct impact assessments and solution feasibility reviews.
• You will present recommendations and delivery plans to technical and non-technical audiences.
• You will support engineering teams with business, governance, and compliance context.
• You will build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.

Strategic Responsibilities

• You will develop expertise in enterprise data platforms, APIs, and cloud-native services.
• You will contribute to platform roadmap planning and prioritization activities.
• You will identify opportunities to improve delivery through process and requirements optimization.
• You will leverage AI-assisted tools to improve documentation, analysis, and productivity.
• You will use AI capabilities for research, summarization, and requirements refinement.
• You will promote adoption of AI-enabled delivery practices and workflows.
• You will support scalable and efficient requirements management processes.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience

• 6+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Business Analyst.
• Experience developing BRDs, functional specifications, and solution documentation.
• Experience managing Jira backlogs and supporting Agile delivery teams.
• Experience working with data platforms, APIs, integrations, or cloud-native solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience supporting enterprise software delivery initiatives.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
