Job summary

Franklin Templeton Hyderabad is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable applications for Middle and Back Office operations. You will own features end-to-end, drive backlogs, participate in sprints, and ensure quality through testing and reviews.

You will work with product owners, analysts, and vendors, adopting Agile and DevOps practices. The role emphasizes collaboration, reliability, and delivering value in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or IT.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in the investment industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

The FTT - Operations group develops and supports products that power the daily operations of the Middle and Back Office. The team collaborates closely across functions to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that drive business efficiency. What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or IT.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience in the investment industry is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, Python, Django.
• Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Skilled in JIRA, Confluence, GitLab.
• Expertise in AWS services and architecture.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality.
