Job summary

Food Hub Software Solutions is seeking a Senior BI Developer in Chennai to turn business data into clear, reliable reports and dashboards. You will design, model and automate data insights, collaborating with business teams to define KPIs and improve decision making.

You will work with Power BI or Amazon QuickSight, write optimized SQL, and validate data from multiple sources. Experience with AWS data services is a plus, and you may guide junior analysts.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of hands-on experience in BI development, reporting or data analytics.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions and query tuning.
• Experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling) or Amazon QuickSight (datasets, calculated fields, SPICE). Good understanding of analytics concepts.
• Experience with relational databases or cloud data warehouses (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI orAmazon QuickSight. Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data from multiple sources.
• Build and maintain data models, datasets and calculated fields that support reporting needs.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business questions into KPIs and reports.

• Document data sources, report logic and definitions of key metrics. Support and guide junior analysts or developers on BI best practices.
• Ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Exposure to AWS services such as S3, Athena or Redshift.
• Nice to have Experience with Python for data analysis or automation.
