The Senior Architecture Consultant is an advanced level expert who proactively supports the delivery of multi‑technology consulting services to clients by analyzing and providing strategies and solutions for all aspects of infrastructure and related technology components. This role works on the development of the architectural approach for one or more layers of complex solutions and reviews the developed infrastructure to ensure that it aligns with roadmaps and adheres to architecture principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular technology related reviews.
- Proactively support the development of new strategies and solutions.
- Support the pre‑sales process.
- Sell solutions and services as identified.
- Foster good relationships with clients, vendors and partners.
- Maintain, improve and share knowledge related to the information technology industry.
- Coach and train Associate and Senior Associate Consultants when required.
- Review and evaluate client requirements to advise on the design, deployment and operation of infrastructures.
- Support the development strategies and solutions that define meta‑architectural designs for complex solutions, addressing issues such as styles, concepts and mechanisms that combine to formulate the architectural vision for a specific environment.
- Research and investigate emerging infrastructure technologies and the best practices associated with them.
- Continuously support the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
- Excellent understanding of multi‑technology infrastructure design coupled with strategic thinking ability.
- Knowledge of multi‑technology infrastructure design best practice that enables them to act as trusted advisors to clients on optimal infrastructure designs.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of systems, software and programming languages.
- Ability to focus on detail with an understanding of how it impacts the business strategically.
- Excellent client service orientation.
- Ability to work in high‑pressure situations.
- Ability to establish and manage processes and practices through collaboration and understanding of business.
- Ability to contribute information on relevant vertical markets.
- Ability to contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by improving current methodologies, processes and tools.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Business Management or a related field.
- Scaled Agile certification desirable.
- Relevant consulting and technical certifications preferred, for example TOGAF.
Required Experience
- Advanced comprehensive technical experience in a similar role within a large‑scale (preferably multi‑national) technology services environment.
- Advanced multi‑technology infrastructure design experience.
- Advanced expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management.
