Qualifications

• 5 years of experience managing people.

• Experience in the U.S. Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
• Ability to work U.S. based hours (ET time zone preferred).

Insurity is looking for a people focused Manager to lead a high-performing team. This role is responsible for developing team members, delivering departmental goals, supporting strong customer and stakeholder relationships, and helping the team operate effectively in a changing environment. The ideal candidate combines sound judgment, strong communication, hands-on knowledge of the function, and a genuine commitment to coaching and developing people.

What Our Manager Will Do

• Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing, highly engaged team of individual contributors supporting bureau content for the base system & customers
• Interview, hire, onboard, and retain exceptional talent while building a collaborative and accountable team culture.
• Provide input to departmental goals and help ensure those goals are met.
• Lead team members through Insurity's performance management and development process.
• Communicate effectively and regularly with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage financial responsibilities and activities for large projects
• Effectively manage release planning including capacity for resources
• Develop and maintain trusted customer relationships and effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive utilization across the team and communicate financial results, goal progress, and KPI's to direct reports.
• Perform hands-on individual-contributor work as needed to support the team and business objectives.

We're Looking For

• Recommended: 5 years of experience managing people
• Recommended: Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Experience leading, managing, coaching, and developing a team of individual contributors
• Experience in the U.S. Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, with the ability to apply that knowledge in a support and operational leadership environment.
• Ability to work U.S. Based hours (full-time ET Time Zone preferred)
• Highly proficient analytical and critical-thinking skills, written and oral English communication, time management, prioritization, and organization
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities
• Self-starter mindset, willingness to learn, attention to detail, active listening skills, and ability to collaborate while working autonomously.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information, ability to negotiate toward effective outcomes, and readiness to accept challenging assignments.
• Ability to apply hands-on experience as an individual contributor and break down complex issues into simple, clear terms.
• Willingness to complete Insurity's Leadership Development Program and Insurity Manager Training within 12 months.
• Ability to travel approximately 10-30% as needed.
