Job summary

Insight Global in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with Oracle Financial Systems and Reporting expertise to drive finance transformation and enterprise reporting initiatives. You will liaison between Finance and IT, define requirements, and ensure successful delivery of Oracle-based solutions.

The role requires strong FP&A, accounting process knowledge, and hands-on Oracle ERP/EPM/HCM experience, with a hybrid work schedule and a 12-month contract.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (Monday-Thursday: Office in first half of day, remote in second half; Friday fully remote)

Salary: 15-30 L

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Oracle Financial Systems and Reporting to support key enterprise reporting and finance transformation initiatives. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT teams, helping define requirements, improve reporting capabilities, optimize business processes, and ensure successful delivery of Oracle-based solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with an understanding of financial reporting, FP&A, accounting processes, and Oracle ERP/EPM/HCM ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories for technical teams
• Support reporting and system enhancement initiatives across Oracle ERP, EPM, and HCM platforms
• Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions
• Create and maintain business process documentation, workflow diagrams, and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with developers, reporting analysts, and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Conduct functional testing, UAT coordination, and defect management activities
• Support month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting initiatives
• Track project deliverables, dependencies, risks, and action items while ensuring stakeholder alignment
• Assist with reporting governance, data quality initiatives, and process standardization efforts

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting financial systems, ERP, or enterprise reporting initiatives
• Hands-on experience working with Oracle ERP, EPM, and/or HCM environments
• Strong understanding of:
• FP&A processes
• Accounting operations
• Month-end and close cycles
• Proven experience gathering and documenting business requirements
• Experience creating functional specifications and process documentation
• Ability to effectively communicate with both business stakeholders and technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience supporting reporting and analytics initiatives in large enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle reporting tools such as:
• OTBI
• BI Publisher
• Hyperion / EPM
• Knowledge of financial controls, reporting governance, or SOX-compliant environments
• Experience participating in ERP or reporting transformation projects
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Background supporting global Finance organizations
