Gallagher in India is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our Digital Products team in Bengaluru. You will shape customer-facing and internal portals, translate business needs into technical requirements and drive discovery across product teams.

You will collaborate with product owners, UX and data teams, applying Agile practices to deliver intuitive digital experiences and robust documentation. Experience in insurance or financial domains is a plus.

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong experience in digital product development, particularly in building and enhancing customer-facing and internal portals, web applications and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in understanding user needs, defining user-centric solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-impact digital experiences.
This role requires a blend of business analysis, product thinking, and user experience (UX) understanding, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with user expectations and business goals.

This role will serve across multiple product teams and collaborate with product owners, development leads, design leads and data teams to run discovery, document and maintain requirements, and enhance digital applications that translate business needs into web-based solutions. Strong interpersonal and inquisitive skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication, are critical for this role. Experience in business analysis, product management and agile delivery is fundamental. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a mix of analytical thinking, organization, collaboration and technical skills. This role will report to the VP of Digital Products.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

Experience ( Career Level Guide):

• 7+ years of experience (i.e. 5+ years of related experience & 2+ years of experience in agile methodology)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to maintain application documentation
• Extensive hands-on experience in portals & application development, including web-based platforms and diverse digital product delivery.
• Proven ability to collaborate on UI/UX design initiates, translating user needs into intuitive & effective digital experience.
• Strong planning and reporting skills.
• Solid understanding of systems development and project delivery life cycle.
• Financial industry or insurance experience.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of business processes, systems development and project delivery life cycle.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum.
• Familiarity with financial or insurance industry practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques and reporting tools.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business challenges.
• Advanced planning, organizational and reporting skills to manage multiple initiatives.
• Proficiency in creating user stories, process flows and wireframes.
• Technical skills in data visualization, system analysis and requirements gathering.

• Capability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Required Degree:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field

Preferred Degree:

Master's Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field

Certificate(s)/Special Training:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) – Advanced business analysis skills.
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) – Expertise in Agile principles.
• Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) – Knowledge of Scrum practices.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals – Proficiency in Azure services.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) – Managing product backlogs in Agile.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) – Strong project management foundation.
• Data Analytics Training – Skills in Power BI, Tableau or Excel.

Advanced Microsoft Office Training: Enhanced proficiency in Office tools.
