Job summary

WSP in India seeks a Senior BIM Technician - Bridges to lead engineering drawing production for highways projects using Bentley and Autodesk tools. You will develop CAD/BIM templates, set drawing strategies with the project engineer, and ensure compliance with WSP standards across the GCC region.

The role requires 10+ years in highways BIM/CAD, strong leadership, and ability to coordinate with US and GCC teams. On-site Bengaluru operations, with focus on accuracy and safety in all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience as a Senior BIM/CAD Technician, specializing in Highways, Drainage modelling and drafting of Civils.
• Proficiency in Bentley software, including MicroStation and ORD.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Project and Team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Highway engineering principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Plan, Profile, Sections, Road Furniture and Detail Drawings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Lead project agreeing on drawing strategy, type, and size of drawings, and drawing numbering with the project engineer, and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure that work produced by the team adheres to specified WSP CAD standards and suggest revisions to standards as appropriate.
• Review engineers' sketches and other design team members' drawings and details to identify any unbuildable or conflicting details or missing information.
• Maintain regular dialogue with the project engineer and US team.
• Be responsible for sharing knowledge with immediate colleagues and the rest of the GCC.
• Ensure that all new skills learned are documented and available for new team members.
• In conjunction with the GCC Local Head, identify skills shortages and develop a program for CAD/BIM training.
• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360 or Bentley MicroStation and ProjectWise.

Desired Skills

• Proficient in 3D modelling, Civil 3D and Microstation.

Skills To Be Evaluated On

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation, Highways detailing, Highway Drawing Production and Modelling, Railway Drawings Experience.

Mandatory Qualification

Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
