Buro Happold is seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator – Structures to lead advanced 3D modelling and cross-discipline coordination for Mumbai projects. You will translate engineering sketches into comprehensive Revit models, manage clashes, and support clients with accurate drawings.

The role requires extensive experience with BIM tools, strong coordination skills, and a proactive, independent work style. Strong communication and a Civil Engineering background are essential.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in BIM coordination or structural engineering environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related certificate.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD; experience with Enscape is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in using Autodesk BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) to model and coordinate disciplines.
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across structural, architectural and MEP teams.
• Follow BIM execution plans and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data from the BIM platform for project delivery.
• Proficient in generating detailed reinforcement drawings and structural steel drawings.
• Clash detection, resolution and reporting to ensure a coordinated design.

Senior BIM Coordinator – Structures

We are currently seeking candidate for Senior BIM Coordinator position to represent BH on our ongoing and future projects, primarily in Mumbai. Your next role

As a Senior BIM Coordinator your role will be to develop engineering calculations/ sketches into 3D models via advanced modelling tools such as Autodesk Revit, ACAD, Navisworks for clash detection and Enscape for presentation. You will also setup, manage and coordinate your models/drawings with other engineering disciplines and will be working closely with the engineering and client teams. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in the use of Autodesk software’s such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCADProficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
• An understanding of industry wide BIM standards
• Should have knowledge about rebar detailing & 2D & 3D Modelling
• Follow the established BIM execution plans and adhere to project specific documentation.
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision
• Taking ownership of the model/drawing
• Sound knowledge of Architectural, Structural and MEP services
• Create discipline specific BIM Modelling content.
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform.
• Able to develop concept ideas into drawing details.
• Drawing/detail production from engineering sketches/calculations
• Proficient in generating Detailed reinforcement drawings and structural steel drawings.
• Making sure drawing production follows company standards.
• Reviewing model/drawings to check compliance with design.
• Responsible for ensuring delivery of model/drawing to agreed project programmes with quality.
• Clash detection, resolution and reporting ensuring a coordinated design.

Your skills and experience

• Should have 12 – 15 years of experience
• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
• Interest in built environment and total relevant experience of 5+ yrs., including working in the REVIT Structures.
• Good communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Certificate Course.
