Job summary

Goodfit in Bengaluru is seeking a Backend SDET with 7+ years of testing and automation experience. The role focuses on backend/API automation, Rest Assured, and cloud-driven validation across databases and Redis.

You will design scalable automation frameworks, validate microservices, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production quality initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SDET, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong hands-on backend/API automation experience.
• Strong programming experience in Java or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured.
• Experience with Cucumber/BDD and/or Karate.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend/API automation frameworks.
• Build automated tests for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Develop API automation using Rest Assured with Java.
• Work with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and/or Karate.

• Perform root-cause analysis of failures and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
