Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend .NET engineer to design, build, and operate scalable microservices and APIs in a cloud-native AWS environment. You will work on distributed systems, airline industry tech concepts, and payment processing workflows while collaborating with distributed teams in IST/CST hours.

The role is fully remote in India, a long-term engagement, and requires strong ownership and senior-level backend expertise with AWS and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Bring senior backend experience with .NET, microservices, and API design.
• Extensive AWS knowledge across core services and cloud-native architectures.
• Cloud certification or equivalent practical expertise preferred.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Route 53, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL, SQS/SNS, Redis Cache.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Kibana.
• Exposure to data analytics to support technical/business decisions.
• Knowledge of airline tech concepts (EMD, PNR, ETKT) is a plus.
• Exposure to payment processing systems and secure transactions.
• Collaborates across Angular/Node.js for broader tech alignment.
• Strong ownership, communication, and teamwork in a remote-first setup.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend apps and services with .NET and microservices.
• Build cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Backend .Net based in India.

This is a senior backend engineering role focused on building scalable, cloud-native applications and services within a modern enterprise environment. You will design and develop microservices and APIs while working extensively with AWS cloud technologies and distributed systems. The role combines strong .NET engineering expertise with exposure to data analytics, monitoring, payment processing, and airline industry technologies. You will collaborate within an agile delivery environment, contributing to technical standards while helping teams maintain reliable and high-quality solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work across a broad AWS technology stack, including containers, databases, messaging, caching, security, and observability. This is a fully remote, long-term engagement for an experienced engineer comfortable working independently while collaborating across distributed teams.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using .NET, microservices architectures, and modern API development practices.

• Build and support cloud-native solutions within AWS, ensuring applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with established architectural standards.

• Work with AWS services and infrastructure including EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Route 53, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL, SQS/SNS, and Redis Cache.

• Develop and maintain APIs and microservices that integrate with enterprise applications, third-party systems, and business-critical services.

• Contribute to solutions involving airline industry technologies and concepts such as EMD, PNR, and ETKT, as well as payment processing workflows.

• Support application monitoring and troubleshooting using observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, and Kibana.

• Collaborate with agile coaches, Scrum Masters, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver project outcomes efficiently and continuously improve development practices.

• Follow established project and organizational guidelines, standards, engineering practices, and quality expectations while helping team members maintain the same standards.

• Contribute to data analytics initiatives and leverage relevant insights to support application and business objectives.

• Collaborate across frontend and backend technologies where required, including Angular and Node.js.

• Participate in technical problem-solving, application troubleshooting, performance improvement, and ongoing modernization initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bring strong senior-level experience in backend development with .NET, including hands-on expertise designing and implementing microservices and APIs.

• Demonstrate significant experience working with AWS and cloud-native architectures, with strong familiarity across core AWS infrastructure and application services.

• Hold AWS or another relevant cloud certification, or demonstrate equivalent practical expertise in cloud engineering.

• Have experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as AWS EKS, ECS, and Kubernetes.

• Demonstrate knowledge of AWS services including Route 53, IAM roles, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora MySQL, SQS/SNS, and Redis Cache.

• Have experience with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Kibana, or comparable platforms.

• Possess exposure to data analytics and an understanding of how data can support technical and business decision-making.

• Have familiarity with airline industry technologies and concepts, particularly EMD, PNR, and ETKT.

• Demonstrate familiarity with payment processing and the technical considerations involved in transaction-based systems.

• Have working knowledge of Angular and Node.js to support collaboration across the broader application stack.

• Understand agile principles and be comfortable working with Scrum Masters, agile coaches, and cross-functional development teams.

• Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, communication, and collaboration skills, with a willingness to follow and reinforce established engineering standards.

• Be comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams during IST working hours, with some potential CST crossover.

• Familiarity with FizzBuzz and Felandrone is considered an advantage.
