Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer based in India to build and evolve features across a modern SaaS platform serving a global user base.

You’ll work across frontend and backend systems, collaborating with product managers, designers, QA, and fellow engineers in a fast-paced, distributed environment. You will design, develop, and maintain core platform features, contribute to architecture decisions, and build secure, scalable software with comprehensive testing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full stack software development, preferably within SaaS or enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript technologies, particularly React and TypeScript, along with backend development using Node.js or Python.
• Solid understanding of RESTful services, API design, relational databases, and modern software development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, maintainable, secure, and well-tested software.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments and agile, collaborative engineering teams.
• Comfortable working remotely in a distributed, async-first environment and able to manage responsibilities independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative approach to working across engineering, product, design, and QA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with technologies such as Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows is valuable.
• Nice-to-have experience includes HRIS, global payroll, workforce management, or other compliance-focused platforms; AWS; authentication and authorization frameworks such as OAuth and SSO; internationalization, role-based access control, or GDPR; and AI-enabled SaaS products.
