Job summary

VerbaFlo Limited is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive features and ensure reliability and security of backend systems.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development, expertise in Node.js, Python, or Go, and strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch. Cloud and containerization skills (Docker, Kubernetes) are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in startups, preferably SaaS or AI-driven products.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design.
• Strong experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and writing unit/integration tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and AI teams to deliver cohesive features and seamless user experiences.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of backend systems.
