Job summary

Qualifications

• B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech or equivalent CS degree.
• 2+ years backend engineering experience, preferably in production-grade SaaS.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript with practical Python or Go experience.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, SQL, data modeling, and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, multi-tenant SaaS components (auth, data models, background jobs, integrations).
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL for performance and reliability (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Contribute to microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Collaborate with React/Next.js frontend engineers to deliver features end-to-end.

You will take ownership of core backend architecture, build scalable multi-tenant services, optimize databases, and collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end features. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers, improving system reliability, and contributing to security-focused product development.

Role & responsibilities

• Architect secure, multi-tenant SaaS components, including authentication, authorization, data models, background jobs, and third-party integrations.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability using PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Apply sound system design principles and contribute to microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Collaborate with React/Next.js frontend engineers and product teams to deliver features from design through deployment.
• Deploy and operate backend services on AWS or GCP, contributing to containerization, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement automated tests and improve application reliability through code reviews, logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, and incident resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech, B.E., M.Tech, or an equivalent degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline.
• 2+ years of professional backend engineering experience, preferably building and operating production-grade SaaS applications.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript, with practical experience in Python or Go.
