Job summary

QTrino Labs Limited seeks an experienced Senior Backend Developer to design and maintain high-performance, secure backend services for cloud-native SaaS applications. You will own core architecture, build scalable multi-tenant systems, optimize databases, and work with frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.

You will mentor junior engineers, improve system reliability, and contribute to security-focused product development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of professional backend engineering experience, preferably with production SaaS.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript, with practical experience in Python or Go.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, SQL, database modeling, and query optimization.
• Experience building secure, scalable backend services with multi-tenancy, background processing, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Architect secure, multi-tenant SaaS components, including authentication, authorization, data models, background jobs, and third-party integrations.
• Design efficient database schemas and optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability using PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Apply sound system design principles and contribute to microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Collaborate with React/Next.js frontend engineers and product teams to deliver features from design through deployment.
• Deploy and operate backend services on AWS or GCP, contributing to containerization, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement automated tests and improve reliability through code reviews, logging, monitoring, and incident resolution.
