Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will partner with SRE, DevOps, and software teams to automate resources and support scale.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cloud infra with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and strong Linux skills, and will contribute to architecture decisions and mentoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, cloud infra, SRE or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on AWS and Linux experience.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure to design, build and maintain highly scalable, reliable and secure cloud infrastructure and platform services. The role involves working closely with engineering, SRE and DevOps teams to build automation and infrastructure capabilities that enable our applications to operate reliably at scale.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE or DevOps.
• Strong programming experience in Python, Go, Java or a similar language.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and load balancing.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, data structures and algorithms.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Kafka or other distributed messaging systems.
• Experience with service mesh technologies.
• Experience with AWS networking, IAM and security services.
• Experience operating highly available production systems at scale.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
