Senior Back-End Software Engineer - Java

Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada - Pune

Employment Type: Full-time

Education: BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related field / MCA (Computer Science/Application)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance microservice-based backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Collaborate closely with product and architecture teams to design scalable and fault‑tolerant systems.
• Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs for high‑performance applications.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) – design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data consistency.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure product reliability and maintain high code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments (AWS).
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product architecture, automation, and development processes.

Required Skills

• 6–9 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong understanding of Core Java (OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling, Multi‑threading).
• Deep experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate.
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs and microservice design patterns.
• Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Code).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
