Job summary

heva is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to build and scale core backend systems spanning healthcare, crypto, and AI. You will craft secure APIs, design scalable databases, and integrate payment and wallet infrastructures in a regulated, high-trust environment.

You will work with Golang, PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud-native tech, driving reliability, security, and performance while collaborating with AI and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development with Golang (Gin) and PostgreSQL.
• Proven schema design, query optimization and indexing for large-scale databases.
• Proficiency in RESTful and GraphQL APIs for scalable backend.
• Hands-on experience with Redis, message queues (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ), and distributed systems.
• Cloud infrastructure and DevOps using Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines (Terraform, Cloud Build).
• Experience building microservice architectures, inter-service communication, and API gateways.
• Secure payment integrations, webhook validation, and financial transaction flows.
• Strong authentication/data protection using JWT, OAuth2, and encryption standards.
• Debugging, profiling, and performance tuning Go services in production.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and ownership mindset.

As a Senior Back-End Engineer at heva, you will be building the core infrastructure at the intersection of healthcare, crypto, and AI. You’ll design, develop, and scale the backend systems that power our AI-driven care platform, our payments and wallet infrastructure, and our cross-border healthcare operations. You will work closely with front-end engineers, AI/agent engineers, and product leaders to ship secure, compliant, and high-performance systems that handle sensitive medical data, financial transactions, and real-time AI workflows. This role requires deep expertise in Golang, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native architectures, as well as strong experience designing APIs, scaling distributed systems, and optimizing data-intensive workloads. You’ll be building foundational systems that sit in a high-trust, regulated environment, where reliability, security, and correctness matter as much as speed. In short: you’ll be helping build the operating system for Care Without Borders — where modern AI meets healthcare delivery and global payments.
