Job summary

Bayer AG in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Integration Engineer with 9+ years IT experience including 5+ years with Azure Integration Services (AIS). You will architect, design, and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native integrations across on-prem and cloud systems.

You will lead technical design, mentor engineers, and govern standards for Azure landing zones, Logic Apps, ADF, Functions, API Management, and secure data flows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS).
• Proficient in C# / .NET, Python, SQL for integration development.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and XSLT.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT and mTLS for secure APIs.
• Familiar with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-native integration solutions using Azure Integration Services.
• Define and govern the Azure integration landing zone for secure, scalable foundations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
• Design workflow orchestrations using Azure Logic Apps.
• Develop ADF pipelines for ELT/ETL data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop serverless components with Azure Functions.
• Manage APIs via Canopy or Azure API Management.
• Implement messaging with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub.

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Integration Engineer with 9+ years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS), responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering robust, secure, and scalable cloud-native integration solutions, middleware platform, and Azure integration landing zone. Adept at building serverless services, workflows, managing APIs, B2B services and connecting disparate on-premises and cloud systems to drive business agility. Demonstrates strong technical leadership through mentoring and coaching team members, providing architectural and design guidance, and driving consistent delivery standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop cloud-native integration solutions using Azure Integration Services.
• Design, implement, and govern the Azure integration landing zone as a secure, scalable, and well-architected foundation for enterprise-wide integrations.
• Define and maintain integration standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering team members, offering guidance on solution architecture, design patterns, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Design and Build workflow orchestrations and business process integrations using Azure Logic Apps.
• Design and Develop Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for ELT/ETL data ingestion and transformation.
• Design and develop serverless components using Azure Functions for custom business logic.
• Register, publish, secure and manage APIs and Services through Canopy (Bayer’s API Management Platform) or Azure API Management.
• Implement asynchronous messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hub.
• Proven expertise in configuring, securing, and managing Azure Application Gateway to ensure high availability and optimal load balancing.
• Configure and manage Integration Accounts to support enterprise B2B workflows, including integrations that use AS2 protocols.
• Integrate Azure Key Vault for secrets, certificate, and credential management.
• Implement and maintain integration security controls including certificates, OAuth, JWT, and mTLS.
• Develop integration solutions using Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB, as appropriate to the use case.
• Build IaC and automate enterprise Azure Landing Zone using Azure ARM or Bicep or Terraform to ensure secure, scalable environments for integration platform.
• Build and maintain Templates and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and automated deployment practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and production cutover activities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Collaborate with business teams, and application owners to ensure successful modernization outcomes.
• Coach team members on Azure Integration Services, cloud-native integration patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Document solution designs, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and migration artifacts to support long-term platform sustainability.
• Analyze and reverse-engineer existing IBM Stack (Datapower, App Connect, MQ) and MuleSoft integration services to develop Azure migration strategies.
