Job summary

Bayer in Bangalore is seeking an Azure Integration Engineer with 5+ years of IT experience to design, build, test, deploy, and support secure cloud-native integration solutions. You will work with Azure AIS, API management, and B2B/migration projects, implementing scalable patterns and governance across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include API security, data pipelines, infra-as-code, and robust CI/CD with DevOps tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS).
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud-native integration solutions.
• Experience building serverless services, APIs, and B2B integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration solutions using AIS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Implement API-led, event-driven patterns with Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid and Event Hubs.
• Publish and secure APIs via Canopy or Azure API Management.
• Configure security, authentication, authorization, and governance using OAuth, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
• Develop data pipelines with ADF and connect storage and databases (Blob, SQL, Cosmos).
• Set up and support infrastructure as code, networking, observability, and RBAC.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and automation scripts.
• Provide production monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with business teams, architects, and engineers on migration and modernization.

Azure Integration Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Azure Integration Engineer with 5+ years of overall IT experience and hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services (AIS). This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud‑native integration solutions, middleware services, and Azure integration platform components. The engineer will build serverless services and workflows, manage APIs and B2B services, and connect on‑premises and cloud systems using established integration standards and patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise integration solutions using Azure Integration Services and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Design API-led, event-driven, batch, real-time, asynchronous, and hybrid integration patterns using services such as Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Event Hubs.
• Apply established integration standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures while contributing improvements based on implementation experience.
• Register, publish, secure, and manage APIs and services through Canopy (Bayer’s API Management Platform) or Azure API Management.
• Implement API and application security, throttling, policies, versioning, authentication, authorization, and governance using OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, certificates, Azure Key Vault, and related controls.
• Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and integrate Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB as appropriate.
• Configure and support Azure Application Gateway and Integration Accounts, including B2B workflows and AS2-based integrations.
• Implement infrastructure as code for environment provisioning and infrastructure setup, including networking, connectivity, observability, security, Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, Azure Policy, and Azure resources.
• Build reusable templates for Azure services and integration platform components.
• Develop and maintain centralized CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and automated deployment practices.
• Perform unit, integration, regression, and production-readiness testing, and support release and production cutover activities.
• Provide production support and operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, performance optimization, and service reliability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Collaborate with business teams, application owners, senior engineers, and architects during solution design, implementation, modernization, and operational support.
• Design, build, and orchestrate AI-driven migration pipelines for modernizing legacy IBM stack and MuleSoft integrations to Azure.
• Use coding-agent tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot—preferably Cursor to accelerate code analysis, migration, development, testing, and documentation.
• Perform reverse engineering and codebase discovery, including business-rule extraction, dependency mapping, interface analysis, and migration-impact assessment.
• Generate automated tests and validate functional equivalence between legacy and migrated integration services.
• Build or extend specialized AI agents for migration activities when existing tooling does not meet project requirements.
