Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale Azure cloud platforms and landing zones across subscriptions and networking.

• Define cloud-native and modernization strategies including re-platforming and microservices.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platforms and next-generation AI solutions. In this role, you will drive cloud transformation initiatives, architect innovative Azure-based solutions, and provide technical leadership across complex modernization programs. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, presales teams, and engineering groups to shape scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale Azure cloud platforms and landing zones covering subscriptions, management groups, networking, identity, security, governance, monitoring, and automation
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available solutions using Azure services such as AKS, App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and related PaaS services
• Define cloud-native and application modernization strategies including re-platforming, re-architecting, containerization, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Provide architecture guidance for migration and modernization of large-scale enterprise workloads to Azure
• Design and integrate Azure OpenAI and GenAI solutions including enterprise AI assistants, RAG-based solutions, intelligent search, copilots, and AI-enabled business applications
• Define patterns for integrating Azure OpenAI with enterprise applications, APIs, data platforms, and knowledge repositories
• Ensure appropriate architecture around AI security, identity, data privacy, responsible AI, observability, and governance
• Lead architecture workshops and technical discussions with customers, application teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and senior stakeholders
• Develop reference architectures, architecture blueprints, design standards, and reusable cloud patterns
• Participate in RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, technical estimations, architecture presentations, and customer pitches
• Support presales teams in defining solution scope, architecture, delivery approach, effort estimates, assumptions, and technical risks
• Conduct architecture reviews, provide technical governance across cloud transformation programs, and mentor architects and engineering teams across multiple projects or workstreams

Requirements

• 16-22 years of overall IT experience with significant experience in cloud and enterprise architecture roles
• Strong hands-on architectural expertise in Microsoft Azure
• Deep understanding of Azure platform and systems architecture, including Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, and Subscriptions
• Proficiency in Hub-Spoke/Virtual WAN architectures, networking, and private connectivity
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identities, and Azure Policy, along with RBAC, governance, security, monitoring, and observability
• Skills in Azure PaaS and cloud-native technologies including AKS/Kubernetes, containers, and App Service
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid
• Competency in Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and related managed services
• Background in microservices, APIs, and distributed systems, along with integration patterns and event-driven architectures
• Experience designing application modernization and cloud migration strategies for large enterprise environments
• Expertise in Azure OpenAI Service and GenAI architecture, including integration of LLM-based capabilities into enterprise applications
• Understanding of RAG, embeddings, and vector search, as well as prompt orchestration, AI agents, and enterprise GenAI architecture patterns
• Consulting and customer-facing experience with the ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders, participate in RFPs, RFIs, presales solutioning, estimations, and technical proposal development
• Capability to translate business requirements into scalable and practical cloud architecture
• Nice to have Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, and Azure Machine Learning
• Background in FinOps and cloud cost optimization
• Exposure to large-scale cloud migration or modernization programs
• Microsoft Azure Architect or other relevant cloud certifications
• Experience working with global enterprise customers or distributed engineering teams
