Job summary

Tredence is seeking a seasoned Azure Architect to design, govern, and evolve our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. You will define reference architectures, lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, and act as the technical authority on Azure best practices across the organization.

You will collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, drive cost-optimization strategies, and mentor engineers while ensuring security and governance standards across hybrid cloud

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Azure architectures meeting scalability, resiliency, and cost objectives.
• Define cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, and reference architecture using Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Lead migration of on-premises and legacy workloads to Azure, including assessment, planning, and execution.
• Architect solutions using core Azure services (VMs, AKS, App Services, Functions, VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure AD, Key Vault, etc.).
• Establish and enforce security, compliance, and identity management standards (Azure AD, RBAC, Policy, Defender for Cloud).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Own cost optimization strategies (rightsizing, reserved instances, Azure Cost Management).
• Mentor engineering teams and act as the escalation point for complex architectural decisions.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Role Summary

• Design end-to-end Azure architectures (compute, storage, networking, identity, and security) that meet scalability, resiliency, and cost objectives.
• Define cloud governance frameworks, landing zones, and reference architecture using Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Lead migration of on-premises and legacy workloads to Azure, including assessment, planning, and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on Azure architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in core Azure services: Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity (Azure AD), and Security.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
• Strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architecture patterns.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes).
• Solid grasp of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and identity/access management.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud migration or modernization projects.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or Azure Databricks.
• Exposure to FinOps practices and multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
• Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting architecture role.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
