Job description
Manage Linux and/or Windows servers across AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS nodes, hybrid environments).
Perform OS-level configuration, hardening, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Handle OS lifecycle tasks including provisioning, upgrading, and decommissioning.
Maintain AMIs, golden images, or OS baselines for consistent deployments.
Manage OS patching using AWS Systems Manager (SSM Patch Manager), Automation Runbooks, or third-party tools.
Schedule, test, and deploy patches to minimize downtime and ensure compliance.
Remediate vulnerabilities identified by security scans (Inspector, Tenable, Qualys, etc.).
Maintain compliance with internal security baselines and regulatory frameworks.
Manage AWS backup and perform daily backup and restoration on required basis.
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SSM, and other tools.
Troubleshoot EC2-level issues involving CPU/memory utilization, disk/IO, networking, and OS processes.
