Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior AWS Migration Engineer with Gen AI to lead on-premise to AWS migrations and embed AI capabilities into cloud solutions.

You will assess environments, migrate using MGN/DMS/DataSync/Snowball, automate via CI/CD and Terraform or CloudFormation, and leverage Bedrock, SageMaker, and OpenAI APIs for Generative AI scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of cloud engineering and migration experience.
• Hands-on with AWS compute services (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Experience with AWS storage (S3, EBS, EFS).
• Experience with AWS databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB).
• IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation; CI/CD with GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline.
• Monitoring with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus.
• Generative AI exposure with Bedrock/SageMaker/OpenAI APIs and AI integration into workloads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end on-prem to AWS migrations using rehost/replatform/refactor strategies.
• Assess environments and set migration direction; design secure, scalable AWS architectures.
• Operate AWS Migration Service (MGN), DMS, DataSync, and Snowball.
• Build cloud environments with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Automate delivery pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and CodePipeline.
• Implement monitoring with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Prometheus; ensure logging and observability.
• Embed AI/ML capabilities into cloud workloads and Gen AI scenarios with Bedrock and SageMaker.

We are searching for a Senior AWS Migration Engineer with Gen AI to transition on-prem systems to AWS and embed AI capabilities into cloud solutions. You will assess environments, migrate with MGN/DMS/DataSync/Snowball, automate via CI/CD and Terraform or CloudFormation, and use Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and OpenAI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end on-prem application migrations to AWS using Rehost, Replatform, and Refactor strategies
• Assess current infrastructure, identify system dependencies, and set the migration direction
• Design AWS architectures that are secure, scalable, and cost-optimized
• Operate AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS DataSync, and Snowball to move workloads and data
• Build and manage cloud environments using Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC
• Automate delivery pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, and CodePipeline
• Implement monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Prometheus
• Integrate AI/ML functionality into cloud workloads including chatbots, automation, and data insights
• Use Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and OpenAI APIs to implement Generative AI scenarios
• Drive AI-based automation across DevOps activities and migration execution

Requirements

• Track record of 5-8 years of professional experience in cloud engineering and migration work
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS compute services such as EC2, Lambda, and ECS/EKS
• Proficiency in AWS storage technologies including S3, EBS, and EFS
• Knowledge of AWS database services including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Experience in AWS networking using VPC, VPN, and Direct Connect
• Understanding of AWS security services including IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager
• Hands-on experience with AWS migration tools such as MGN, DMS, and DataSync/Snowball
• Ability to build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience using CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, Jenkins, and CodePipeline
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Prometheus
• Basic to intermediate exposure to Generative AI services including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and OpenAI APIs
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM-based application use cases
