Job summary

EPAM Systems in Chennai is seeking a Senior AWS Migration Engineer with Gen AI expertise to lead end-to-end migration of on‑prem applications to AWS while integrating AI capabilities into cloud workloads. You will work hands-on with migration tools (MGN, DMS, DataSync) and implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.

The role requires 5–8 years of cloud engineering experience, strong AWS compute/storage/networking/security skills, and proficiency in CI/CD and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of cloud engineering and migration experience.
• Expertise in AWS compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Proficiency in AWS storage: S3, EBS, EFS.
• Knowledge of AWS database services: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB.
• Experience with AWS networking: VPC, VPN, Direct Connect.
• Skills in AWS security: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager.
• Hands-on with migration tools: MGN, DMS, DataSync/Snowball.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD: GitLab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline.
• Monitoring/logging: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus.
• Gen AI exposure: Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenAI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration of on-prem applications to AWS using Rehost, Replatform and Refactor approaches
• Assess existing infrastructure, identify dependencies and define migration strategy
• Design scalable, secure and cost‑optimized AWS architectures
• Perform hands‑on work with AWS migration tools such as MGN, DMS, DataSync and Snowball
• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools including GitLab CI, Jenkins and CodePipeline
• Implement monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, CloudTrail and Prometheus
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into cloud workloads such as chatbots, automation and data insights
• Apply Generative AI services in AWS including Bedrock, SageMaker and OpenAI APIs

The ideal candidate will combine strong cloud architecture skills with hands‑on experience in AWS migration tools, automation and emerging Generative AI services to deliver scalable, secure and cost‑optimized solutions.
