Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python and Playwright. The role requires hands-on Modbus experience, API testing, and CI/CD integration for web applications.

You will collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to define test strategies, create test plans, and automate functional, regression, and end-to-end scenarios with reusable components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation and QA engineering.
• Strong experience with Python, Playwright, and Modbus.
• Experience with Docker and containerized test execution.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Were looking for Automation QA Engineer / Senior Automation QA Engineer

• We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Python, and Playwright with hands-on Modbus experience to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in web application testing, automation scripting, API testing, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance best practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts using Python, Playwright.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing scenarios.
• Develop reusable automation components and libraries for scalable test automation.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test data.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API capabilities.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Analyse test execution results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and reporting are maintained across releases.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Test Automation Framework development.
• Expertise in Playwright Automation.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with legacy automation scripts written in VBScript.
• Hands-on Modbus experience
• Hands-on experience with TestComplete.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Knowledge of BDD tools such as Cucumber/SpecFlow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Automation Testing, Playwright, Microsoft Technologies, or ISTQB are preferred.
