Job summary

Agivant Technologies India Private Limited is seeking Senior Automation Engineers with deep Red Hat enterprise expertise to lead hands-on initiatives for infrastructure automation and CI/CD integrations across complex enterprise environments.

You will architect and maintain Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules, and custom microservices, while leveraging AAP/AWX for centralized pipeline execution. The role focuses on eliminating manual overhead and ensuring high-availability services.

Qualifications

• Must have 4–7 years of hands-on enterprise DevOps, systems admin, and CI/CD optimization in RHEL environments.
• Active RHCSA or RHCE certification (EX294 / EX200) required.
• Proven ability to write production-grade Ansible roles, collections, and custom modules using AAP or AWX.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform configurations and remote state backends.
• Solid experience integrating GitLab REST/GraphQL APIs and Jenkins pipelines with automated workflows.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for microservices and API handling.
• Knowledge of Red Hat networking, TCP/IP, systemd, reverse proxies (HAProxy/Nginx).

Responsibilities

• Architect, write, and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles and Terraform modules to automate complex infrastructure state management.
• Leverage Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or AWX to centralize pipeline execution and RBAC in hybrid environments.
• Integrate GitLab and Jenkins APIs to orchestrate configuration blueprints and mass migrations.
• Design and maintain high-availability RelayProxy and ingress routing solutions for GitLab webhooks across Jenkins controllers.
• Lead automated batch migration of 40+ enterprise repositories with zero-downtime pipelines.
• Monitor health endpoints, webhook delivery, and conduct RCA on integration bottlenecks.

About the Role

We are hiring Senior Automation Engineers with deep Red Hat enterprise expertise to join a dedicated engineering pod. In this role, you will lead hands-on initiatives to eliminate manual overhead, architect robust Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and build custom intermediary services to optimize complex CI/CD integrations across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• IaC & Automation Development: Architect, write, and maintain production-grade Ansible playbooks/roles and enterprise Terraform modules to automate complex infrastructure state management and migrate repository configurations (users, groups, repos) from Gerrit to GitLab seamlessly.
• Red Hat Ecosystem Integration: Leverage Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) / AWX to centralize pipeline execution, manage dynamic inventories, enforce RBAC, and standardize configuration management across enterprise hybrid environments.
• API Integration & Orchestration: Utilize GitLab REST/GraphQL APIs and Jenkins automation endpoints to programmatically execute configuration blueprints, audit permissions, and validate mass-migration execution.
• Proxy & Relay Service Development: Design, write, and maintain custom high-availability translation services (e.g., Python/Go RelayProxy) and ingress routing solutions (nGrok/HAProxy) to ingest, validate, and fan out GitLab webhooks to multiple downstream Jenkins controllers.
• Bulk Execution & Optimization: Lead the automated batch migration and baseline auditing of 40+ enterprise repositories, converting a 2-hour-per-repo manual effort into a scalable, zero-downtime automated pipeline.
• Operational Excellence & Monitoring: Ensure high availability for custom intermediary services, establish health-check endpoints, monitor webhooks delivery, and lead deep-dive root-cause analysis (RCA) on integration bottlenecks.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise DevOps, system administration, and CI/CD optimization within Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Active Certification Required: Must hold an active Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification (EX294 / EX200).
• Enterprise Ansible Expertise: Demonstrated ability to write production-ready Ansible roles, collections, and custom modules, with hands-on experience using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or AWX.
• IaC Proficiency: Strong experience writing, testing, and maintaining modular Terraform configurations using remote state backends.
• CI/CD & API Integrations: Solid experience administering and programmatically integrating GitLab (REST API) and Jenkins (pipelines, dynamic nodes, webhooks).
• Scripting & Development: Advanced proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for building light microservices, parsing JSON/YAML payloads, and handling HTTP endpoints.
• Networking & Proxy Infrastructure: Strong foundational knowledge of Red Hat networking, TCP/IP, systemd service setup, reverse proxies (HAProxy/NGINX), and webhook payload transformations.

Good-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or Kubernetes container management.
• Background in source control migration mechanics (Git, Gerrit-to-GitLab transition strategies).
• Hands-on exposure to enterprise monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
