Job summary

SID Global Solutions in Gurugram is seeking a senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation for mobile apps and backend services. You will design and implement Python-based tests with Pytest/Robot and drive quality across fintech projects.

You will work with Appium, Xcode, and CI/CD pipelines, mentoring juniors while collaborating with product and engineering to deliver reliable software. Knowledge of logs and monitoring is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in test automation for Android and iOS apps and backend APIs.
• Designing and implementing test automation frameworks and utilities.
• Strong Python expertise with Pytest and Robot Framework.
• Experience in BDD with pytest-bdd and Appium-based mobile automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Helm.
• Ability to analyze logs via Kibana/Grafana and debug production issues.
• Experience with data quality testing and mocks/virtualization.

Job description

• Handson experience in writing test automation script for following:
• Android and iOS mobile apps and
• APIs and backends (DBs, Cache and so on)
• Hands on experience in designing test automation frameworks and coding helper utilities
• Strong knowledge of Python and hands-on experience of automating applications with python-based frameworks like Pytest, Robot
• Hands on in BDD based frameworks using Python like pytest-bdd.
• Hands on in using Appium, Xcode and its wrappers to automate mobile applications.
• Hands on in automating backend APIs, micro services & designing frameworks around it.
• Hands on experience in writing framework for Accessibility Testing of Web and Mobile.
• Hands on experience in writing fuzzy tests using python hypothesis.
• Hands on experience in Data Quality test frameworks like great-expectation, data-robots & others.
• Hands on experience in service virtualization, mocking of environment or services, and had worked upon libraries like wire mock, Mockito.
• Hands on experience in executing and developing penetration testing framework using ZAP with Python.
• Hands on in creating CI and CD pipelines for test jobs. Good exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins and Helm.
• Working Experience with either Cloud Providers like AWS, Azure, GCP

Domain Knowledge

• Experience in delivering banking or fintech based projects.
• Should be able to understand banking terminologies and communicate with Business team to deliver projects.
• Expertise in tools to debug issues and find logs
• Experience in using Mobile Application Tools - Charles Proxy, ADB logs, Android Studio and Xcode
• Handson experience is required to analyze the servers and debug things using logs like in Kibana, reading charts over Grafana & so on.
• Must be able to trace API Calls and failures for Web application using Network logs
• Person should be good at problem identification and provide solution.
• Handson experience in designing & solutioning the test strategy for a given component/module in an application.
• Handson in executing the test strategy using technical solutioning.

AI

• Handson in writing application/test framework that uses Gen AI models.
• Exposure to Gen AI models like hugging-face models, OpenAI models, embedding models and so on
• Exposure to prompt engineering and how models can be augmented.
• Understanding of the Guardrails in AI workflows.
• Or have used some practical GenAI solutions for solving real-time automation challenges like automated healing of data, test generations and so on.

Interpersonal Skills

• Person should take ownership the work assigned to the closure.
• Person should have good & positive attitude toward work and should have clear communication.
• As a Senior member, should be able to Train, Mentor, Guide team in right direction to deliver project
• Must be able to lead the efforts if required.
