Job summary

Simform is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and scale automated testing across functionality, performance, and security. You will implement and maintain frameworks with Selenium, Cypress, and Playwright, and leverage AI-driven testing to improve coverage and efficiency.

The role requires strong programming skills, experience with AI-enabled testing platforms, API testing, and CI/CD pipeline integration, in a hybrid work setup in India.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in QA automation with automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or NUnit.
• Experience using AI-powered testing tools or AI-assisted coding tools to boost productivity.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and Git-based workflows.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated test scripts for correctness and reliability.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, AI-powered testing tools, and modern quality engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks, leveraging AI tools to improve test coverage and efficiency, and ensuring software quality and stability. This role requires strong programming skills, proficiency in automation frameworks, familiarity with AI-assisted testing solutions, and the ability to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functionality, performance, and security validation.
• Implement and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Leverage AI-powered testing tools and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test creation, improve test coverage, and optimize test maintenance.
• Explore and implement AI-driven test case generation, self-healing automation, intelligent test execution, and automated test failure analysis.
• Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools to generate, optimize, debug, and maintain test scripts.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-enabled testing platforms such as Testim, mabl, Functionize, or other relevant solutions where appropriate.
• Identify and resolve test failures, regressions, flaky tests, and application stability issues.
• Enhance test coverage, performance, and reliability across environments.
• Ensure automated tests are efficient, repeatable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and engineering teams to refine test strategies and quality engineering practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot application and automation issues, using AI-assisted root-cause analysis where applicable.
• Perform API testing (REST/SOAP) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools, including AI-assisted API test generation where applicable.
• Use SQL for database validation and test data management.
• Adhere to Agile methodologies in a Scrum environment.
• Utilize CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Manage test cases and defects with Jira, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Validate AI-enabled application features where applicable, including response accuracy, consistency, reliability, and edge-case handling.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in QA automation, with expertise in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or NUnit.
• Practical experience using AI-powered testing tools, AI-assisted coding tools, or generative AI solutions to improve automation productivity.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Testim, mabl, Functionize, or equivalent AI-enabled testing solutions.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and Git.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess AI-generated test scripts and outputs for correctness, reliability, security, and maintainability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based environments such as AWS or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.
• Exposure to network protocols and automation for network-related testing.
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks such as Appium.
• Experience testing AI/ML-powered applications, including LLM-based applications, chatbots, or generative AI features.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation concepts such as response correctness, hallucination detection, consistency, robustness, and prompt testing.
• Exposure to AI testing frameworks and evaluation tools such as promptfoo, DeepEval, or similar solutions.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted testing workflows into existing automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Python-based test automation and scripting for AI-related testing use cases.
