Job summary

Meritto is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design and execute testing strategies for modern web apps. You will build scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing, automate a range of test types, and collaborate with developers to embed quality from the start.

You will leverage AI to boost productivity, tighten CI/CD quality gates, and ensure rapid, reliable software releases. Strong coding in Python or TypeScript and SQL experience are essential.

What You'll Do

What we’re looking for

• 2–4 years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
• Strong experience in API Testing and API Automation using REST APIs and Postman.
• Hands-on experience with UI Automation using Playwright or Selenium.
• Good programming skills in Python, or TypeScript for automation development.
• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Database Testing, data validation, and backendverification.
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Zoho.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with high ownership and minimal supervision.
• Passion for building automation instead of repetitive manual testing.
