Job summary

Acuity Analytics, a global tech-enabled analytics partner, seeks a Senior Associate to forecast production, evaluate reserves, and support asset management across basins in the U.S. Collaborate with Land, Finance, IT, GIS, and other teams on diverse projects and assignments.

The role requires a strong background in petroleum engineering, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in economic evaluations and data modeling. Gurgaon-based, on-site with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in reserves, A&D, or equivalent.
• Experience in Economic Evaluations using Aries or other engineering software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python and VBA.
• Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of major U.S. basins: Permian, Williston, DJ, Eagle Ford, Appalachia, Haynesville.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude Code.

Job Purpose

Will be responsible for forecasting production, evaluating reserves, and assessing economic value. This individual will assist in asset management, deal evaluation, acquisitions, and capital redeployment across multiple basins in the U.S. Engineer will be working collaboratively with different departments such as Land, Finance, Accounting, IT, GIS, etc. on various projects and tasks

Key Responsibilities

• l Develop and maintain database of existing PDP wells
• l Build reservoir models and model potential development scenarios as to associated reserves
• l Maintain Engineering models
• l Evaluate potential acquisitions and divestitures

Key Competencies:

• l Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent experience
• l 3-5 (/5+) years of experience in reserves, A&D, or equivalent experience
• l Experience in Economic Evaluations using Aries, or other engineering software
• l Excellent communication skills (written and oral) for internal and external project presentations
• l Microsoft SQL Server (SQL), Python, and VBA knowledge
• l Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
