Mashreq in Bengaluru is seeking a Trade Operations professional to process payments and fund transfers in USD and local currency under IRU, following SOPs and ICC guidelines. You will handle MT103/MT202 messages, have expertise in CHIPS and FED payments, SWIFT investigations, and ensure accurate input and authorization in the processing system.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork, addressing ad-hoc tasks and preventing revenue leakage while avoiding Nostro

• Experience in Trade Operations with cross-border payments.
• Expert level knowledge of MT100, MT200 and MT700 series.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Process payments and fund transfers in USD and local currency per policies.
• Handle MT103, MT202 messages both incoming and outgoing.
• Prepare and authorize relevant SWIFT messages; ensure compliance with UCP/ISBP/URC.
• Ad-hoc tasks and share knowledge gaps with the team to resolve issues.
• Ensure no revenue leakage and no outstanding Nostro/internal reconciliations.

Job Purpose

The incumbent will be responsible for processing Payments, Fund Transfer both USD and local currency under IRU as per Bank's internal policies, SOP's/OPM's/ADM's as well as relevant ICC guidelines applicable and authorizing/inputting the transactions in the processing system. The coverage will be all the areas of Trade Finance for various business segments

Key Result Areas

• All processing should be as per SOP/OPM's and UCP/ISBP/URC as applicable and charges recovery to be as per the extant guidelines.
• Handle payment messages such as MT103, 202 both incoming and outgoing
• Knowledge in CHIPS and FED payments and SWIFT investigations
• Responsible for authorizing/inputting transactions into the system and prepare/authorize relevant SWIFT messages
• Ad-hoc tasks given by the Team Head
• Ensure errors/knowledge gaps are shared with line manager/team to address customer service issues.
• No revenue leakage
• No outstanding reconciliation entries pending in Nostro or Internal accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree
• Relevant working experience in Trade Operations
• Experience in handling cross border Payments including expert level knowledge of MT 100 series, MT 200 series and MT 700 series is a must.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Attentive to details, strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
• Able to work under pressure, have excellent organizational skills and good team player.
