Apex Group is seeking a Lease Accountant in India to manage end-to-end lease accounting processes, including AR, AP, and GL, and ensure timely delivery of financial statements and reports.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience in lease or real estate accounting, along with strong Excel skills and familiarity with Yardi or MRI. You will support month-end close and collaborate with clients and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lease accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL).


• Process tenant billing, rent invoicing, cash applications, vendor invoices, and payments.


• Monitor AR aging and resolve outstanding balances.


• Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.


• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.


• Prepare rent rolls, lease schedules, financial statements, and variance analysis reports.


• Respond to client, auditor, and stakeholder queries and support audit requirements.


• Ensure compliance with SOPs, SLAs, internal controls, and accounting policies.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in Lease Accounting / Real Estate Accounting.


• Strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, Bank Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.


• Understanding of US Real Estate Accounting and Lease Accounting.


• Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property accounting systems.


• Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience.


• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).


• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.


• Experience reviewing work, supporting team members, and managing client interactions.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of lease administration and commercial real estate processes.


• Experience reviewing lease documents and resolving accounting exceptions.


• Exposure to international clients and SLA-driven delivery environments.
