Job summary

Datawrkz in Bengaluru is seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Reporting Associate (2–5 years) to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance under Ind AS. The role emphasizes General Ledger, Record-to-Report, month-end close, accruals, and financial statement preparation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on GST, TDS, and Income Tax knowledge, with experience in Tally and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (IGAAP/Ind AS) is required.
• Hands-on GL accounting and RTR experience.
• Experience with month-end/quarter-end closings and financial statements.
• GST, TDS, Income Tax knowledge and statutory compliance experience.
• Experience with statutory audits and compliance support.
• Experience with AP, AR, and GL reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Tally is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Role: Senior Associate – Record to Report (RTR)- Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Reporting (FR) Associate with 2–5 years of experience to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in General Ledger (GL), Record-to-Report (RTR), month‑end close, financial

statement preparation, and statutory compliances.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (IGAAP or Ind AS).
• Hands‑on experience in General Ledger (GL) accounting.
• Experience in Record‑to‑Report (RTR) processes.
• Experience in month‑end/quarter‑end closing activities, including:
  • Accruals
  • Prepaid reclassifications
  • Journal entries
  • Preparation of Financial Statements.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting.
• Statutory Compliance:
  • Working knowledge of:
    • GST
    • TDS
    • Income Tax
  • Experience in supporting statutory audits and statutory compliances.
• Core Accounting:
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • General Ledger Reconciliation
  • Journal Entries (including manual adjustments)
• Systems & Tools:
  • Tally (Mandatory)
  • Advanced MS Excel:

• Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred):
  • Exposure to IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Experience with Zoho Books or QuickBooks.
  • Working knowledge of Intercompany Accounting & Eliminations.
  • Experience in MIS Reporting.
  • Exposure to Budgeting & Forecasting.
  • Experience in Process Improvement, Standardization, or Automation initiatives.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage deadlines during month‑end closing.
• Qualifications:
  • Education: B. Com/M. Com, CA Inter, or MBA (Finance).
  • Experience: 2–5 years in Finance & Accounting, with good exposure to Indian Accounting Standards.
