Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a senior electrical design engineer with 12+ years of experience in water supply, treatment and infrastructure projects. The role covers WTPs, pumping stations, transmission systems and related electrical infrastructure.

The candidate will design HT/LT power distribution, substations, transformers, MCCs, VFDs and PLC/SCADA integration, and prepare SLDs, load schedules and BOQs in coordination with civil, mechanical, instrumentation and process teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in electrical design for water projects.
• Experience with WTPs, pumping stations, transmission and reservoirs.
• Experience in HT/LT power distribution, substations, MCCs, VFDs, PLC/SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for water supply & infrastructure projects.
• Prepare SLDs, load schedules, cable sizing, technical specs & BOQs.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation & process teams.
• Assist in tender documents and technical proposals.

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering for water supply, water treatment, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in rural and urban drinking water supply projects, including Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), pumping stations, transmission systems, reservoirs, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Experience in the design of HT/LT power distribution systems, substations, transformers, DG sets, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLC/SCADA systems, earthing, lightning protection, and lighting systems.
• Experience in preparing electrical design calculations, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, cable sizing, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and process engineering teams.
• Experience in consultancy, PMC, EPC, or detailed engineering assignments related to water infrastructure projects will be preferred.
