Voya India is seeking a detail-oriented insurance/accounting operations professional with strong Oracle, advanced Excel, and VBA macro expertise. Candidates with knowledge in accounting, automation, and an eagerness to learn the business will be considered.
Responsibilities include preparing reinsurance accruals, settlements, journal entries, and financial reports, while supporting group reinsurance activities and monthly/quarterly accounting across various insurance books.

A detail-oriented insurance or accounting operations professional with strong Oracle, advanced Excel, and VBA macro expertise. Candidates with solid accounting and automation skills, basic insurance or reinsurance knowledge, and a strong willingness to learn the business may also be considered.
Prepare and review reinsurance accruals, settlements, reconciliations, journal entries, wire-support files, and financial reports.
Support Group Reinsurance activities involving premiums, claims, commissions, experience refunds, suspense items, investment income, and other assigned transactions.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities across Life, STD, LTD, Employer Stop Loss, Health Solutions, EB and discontinued insurance books.
Extract, validate, and reconcile data from Oracle, Excel workbooks, source systems, and supporting reports.
Prepare Oracle journal-entry upload templates and investigate rejected or failed entries.
Perform GAAP and STAT accounting-related activities, where applicable.
Develop and maintain Excel VBA macros to automate data cleansing, formatting, consolidation, reconciliation, journal-entry preparation, and report generation.
Troubleshoot Excel formulas, macros, file links, PivotTables, and large datasets.
Perform variance analysis, prior-period comparisons, and exception investigations.
Ensure adherence to maker-checker controls, business deadlines, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
Maintain SOPs, process flows, control checklists, and training materials.
Participate in process transitions, cross-training, Kaizen, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Explore opportunities to use Power Query, Power BI, Office Scripts, and Copilot for further process automation.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, MBA-Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in insurance, reinsurance, finance, accounting operations, or shared services.
Basic knowledge of insurance and reinsurance concepts.
Excellent Command over English .
Understanding of accruals, settlements, journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Hands-on experience with Oracle or a comparable ERP/accounting system.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
