Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Investments domain.
• 4+ years of experience in Investment Management.
• Strong data skills including Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx for large datasets.
• Familiarity with Aladdin, Bloomberg, ICE, and other pricing/accounting platforms preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pricing data accuracy and timeliness through IPV controls and reconciliations.

• Perform morning price downloads for asset classes (Equity, Fixed Income, FX).

Role Overview

The Independent Price Verification (IPV) is dedicated to ensure the accuracy and consistency of security prices across Voya's General Account (GA) and External Client (EC) portfolios. The role will act as the Voya India lead for IPV controls and will coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly offshore valuation support activities. The individual will help ensure that offshore activities are completed timely, documented consistently, escalated appropriately, and aligned with Voya's valuation procedures, pricing source hierarchy, and evidence standards. The team contributes to Voya's Investment Pricing & Valuation team by preparing exception reports, maintaining control checklists, tracking aged items, organizing pricing support, preparing committee exhibits, and identifying recurring data or pricing issues for escalation and root-cause review.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the completeness, accuracy, timeliness, relevance, and consistency of pricing data through defined IPV controls, reconciliations, exception reporting, and escalation to appropriate data or valuation owners.
• Works with different teams - Accounting, Performance, Referential and Investment teams etc., to have the data availability, and to check the accuracy of these data through different sources. Using Blackrock Aladdin, ICE, and Pricing software
• Performing morning Bloomberg price downloads for various asset classes such as Equity, Fixed Income FX etc.
• Perform source-to-system price reconciliations between approved pricing sources, Aladdin, BNY, State Street, and other applicable platforms.
• Support efforts to reduce manual work by identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, dashboarding, and standardized reporting.
• Halted Securities Price checks and controls.
• Support pricing service monitoring by preparing vendor coverage reports, price comparison files, stale price summaries, and vendor challenge support.
• Coordinate and oversee offshore IPV activities across daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly pricing control processes. Prepare and monitor exception aging reports for stale prices, missing prices, tolerance breaks, vendor price differences, price source exceptions, and unresolved reconciliations.
• Track open items from pricing reviews, vendor inquiries, price challenges, BNY/Aladdin reconciliations, and committee preparation until resolution.
• Apply authorized vendor sources and coordinate vendor coverage requests to support accurate and complete pricing data.
• Support broker quote inventory tracking, including quote date, broker, security identifier, quote type, quote level, and related support retained. Maintain documentation of vendor price challenges, including security details, source prices, supporting evidence, challenge status, response received, and final outcome.
• Support pricing control reporting across asset classes, including daily market close reports, price movement reports, stale price reports, missing price reports, and vendor comparison reports.

Education

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Investments domain
• 4+ years of experience in Investment Management
• Familiarity with public fixed income, equities, FX, derivatives, structured products, syndicated loans, private credit, commercial mortgage loans, and other hard-to-value securities will be preferred. Strong understanding of key valuation concepts, including fair value, evaluated prices, broker quotes, market data, model values, price challenges, price overrides, and valuation support documentation. Strong understanding of price verification controls, including missing price review, stale price review, tolerance checks, vendor-to-vendor comparisons, price source hierarchy, and price challenge support. Strong data skills, including advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools, with ability to manage large datasets and improve recurring reporting processes.
• Experience with BlackRock Aladdin, Bloomberg, ICE, JPM PricingDirect, BNY systems, State Street platforms, or other pricing/accounting platforms will be preferred.
• Ability to understand the link between data, client needs and its application to the "bigger picture"
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up to date
• Strong relationship management skills with ability to work effectively with onshore Valuation, Accounting, Performance, Referential Data, Investment teams, BNY, pricing vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent Attention to detail, and giving extreme importance to timelines and deliverables
• Professional skepticism and attention to detail, with ability to identify unusual price movements, unchanged prices, recurring breaks, missing support, or inconsistent data.
• Strong process ownership and ability to follow issues from identification through resolution, including status tracking, follow-up, and escalation.
• Highly collaborative and able to work efficiently and effectively in both team and individual environments
• Strong written communication skills, including ability to prepare concise issue summaries, escalation notes, control comments, and committee-ready support. Should be a self-starter, proactive and target oriented
